Courses will be available on the topic of Israel’s arts and culture, multicultural community, conflict with its neighbors and the technological and environmental innovation. Keynote lecture from Alan Kaufman at lunch (12:00–1:30 PM) and in a closing ceremony we will hear from Dr. Steven Spiegel on the US–Israel relationship, particularly in an election cycle (5:15–6:30 PM). Israeli dancing and light dinner following closing ceremony and screening of two rare silent films: Oded Hanoded, directed by Chaim Halachmi, the first feature film ever made in Israel (1932) and The Wandering Jew (aka The Life of Theodor Herzl), directed by Otto Kreisler (1921).
