The “Iron Chef of Filmmaking” is coming to the SFJFF! Watch what happens when competing teams of energetic local filmmakers and fun-seekers — amateurs, professionals, maybe even you — are given just eight hours to make an original movie and then rush back to the glorious Castro Theatre that same night to screen their three-minute masterpieces.
The vibe in the house will be spirited and infectious as a collection of one exhilarating day’s work unspools before the cheering crowd.
Each movie can be only three minutes long and must contain the “secret ingredients” that are revealed only on the morning of the shoot. SFJFF is pleased to partner with the San Francisco-based non-profit Cinemasports for this event, which promises to be equal parts guerrilla filmmaking, team building and sheer fun.
To participate (you can sign up even if you don’t have a whole team assembled), follow the Cinemasports link at www.cinemasports.com or the SFJFF link at www.sfjff.org.
And even if you don’t make a movie, don’t miss the one-time only screening!
Co-presented by the Contemporary Jewish Museum, Jewish Community Relations Council of San Francisco, the Peninsula, Marin, Sonoma, Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.
Tickets: $10
